There is plenty to do at The Terraces! The Audubon Building hosts weekly and ongoing activities, special events and parties. Residents may select from a variety of crafts, games, yoga, excursions, and shopping trips.
The Terraces has a recreational director on staff who arranges many trips, field trips, and social gatherings. All activities are optional and most are at no cost. Click here to see the monthly calendar.
The large community room hosts a number of activities including yoga, presentations on current events, book group discussions, guest musicians, bingo, and other events. When not in use, it is available (through reservation) for residents who wish to host a party, family reunion or other event.
Local shopping and special trips are frequent outings on the calendar. Weekly shopping trips depart from the Audubon building and take residents to local grocery stores. Shoppers are dropped off at their building with carry-in assistance. Once a month shopping trips include excursions to stores such as Michael’s, Christmas Tree Shop, Dollar Store, Walmart, etc. There is also a once a week errands trip to requested locations in Shelburne such as the library, market and drug store.
Residents who enjoy gardening may use available garden space to grow their own vegetables and flowers and they often share their produce with the other residents.
